Warren G.

Music Producer/ Musician/ Performer

Warren G. joins the California Sound Studios team of Producers. Get your music to Warren for the midas touch. In 1990, Warren G formed the group 213 with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg. In 1992, Warren G introduced the group to his brother Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre was impressed and signed Snoop Dogg to his and Suge Knight’s record company, Death Row Records. Thus, 213 broke up for a while before releasing any group records, and the three artists pursued separate careers in the same style. Even though Death Row Records did not sign Warren G, his career began with some contributions to Dr. Dre’s album The Chronic, released 1992. Warren G was a regular contributor to many Death Row albums.

In 1993, Warren G produced the track Indo Smoke featuring himself, Nate Dogg, and Mista Grimm. He also produced and rapped on Snoop Dogg’s debut album Doggystyle.

Warren G’s debut album Regulate… G Funk Era was released in 1994 on Def Jam. It was certified triple platinum in the United States and sold over 4.5 million units on soundscan worldwide. It featured the hit song “Regulate” featuring Nate Dogg, which samples Michael McDonald’s classic hit, “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near).” The lead single “Regulate” was certified platinum and peaked out at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Also on that disc was “This D.J.,” a popular, track and hit video on MTV, and also a chart hit, peaking at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and being certified gold. Jeff Timmons

Music Producer/ Musician/ Performer

Known as the founding member of the multi-platinum selling group 98 Degrees. He has gone solo, at least, temporarily, and plans to perform with his beloved group again that brought such mega hits as “The Hardest Thing” “I Do.” “Invisible Man” “Give Me Just One Night” “Because of You” and the number one hit with Mariah Carey “Thank God I Found You”. 98 Degrees’ albums reached gold or platinum status in 15 countries around the world.

After a stellar career with 98 Degrees, Jeff has single-handedly written and produced his first solo album, released as a joint venture between his own company, Rising Phoenix Media, LLC and SLG Music. The album gave him a Top 20 hit on both the Billboard and Radio and Records charts with the lead off single “Whisper That Way” and was the most added single at radio every week leading up to its peak position. The album also produced 3 more chart topping singles worldwide.

One early career highlight for Timmons included singing at the White House. “I’ve never been so nervous before a performance, when we were to sing acappella for President Clinton. It was the first time we were doing ‘Ave Maria’ in public and it was live on TV for a White House Holiday Special.” No need for anxiety – the group was invited back. Other highlights include hosting, appearing and performing on such shows as MTV’s “TRL,” “Beach House,” “House of Style,” “Video Music Awards,” “American Music Awards,” “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve,” “The Tonight Show,” and “The Teen Choice Awards” (for which he is the owner of their coveted award surf board). Timmons’ group also received a Radio Music Award to go with the many platinum records on the wall at California Sound Studios. For project info, call now 949-855-0211 and ask for Nathan Wright

Ronnie King

Music Producer/ Musician/ Performer

Quickly establishing himself as “the indie Rick Rubin” for his Midas Touch with edgy artists in rock, hip-pop and punk, famed keyboardist and producer Ronnie King returns to his roots as music producer and musician at California Sound Studios, Inc. One of the busiest and most requested keyboardists and producers in pop, hip-hop, alternative and modern punk over the past 15 years. King’s resume runs wildly eclectic, from mainstream pop artists (Mariah Carey and KC & JoJo) to hot pop-thugs (2Pac, Coolio, Snoop Dogg protégés Eastsidaz) and the metal inflected punk of The Offspring. Known for his trademark sound on Analog Mini-Moog, he also toured with Rancid and was a member of L.A. punk supergroup The Joykiller.

Most recently, Kings talents were heard as an integral player on the soundtrack for the Tupac Shakur documentary Resurrection, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2005. He also had the privilege of working closely with the late rapper and poet throughout his career, his stylings can be heard on albums such as Still I Rise, Until The End of Time and Better Dayz.

With an extensive and eclectic history in and out of the studio, King also found himself pulled into the Punk Rock realm. As a live performer, he previously toured the world playing keyboards with noted punk act Rancid and had a recent stint on tour with popular mainstream act, The Offspring. He has also worked in the studio with The Offspring as well as the Distillers, NOFX, Rancid, Pennywise and his own band, The Joykiller, which was signed to Epitaph Records.

While Ronnie has dual citizenship in both of the Punk and Rap nations he is also a respected traveler throughout the musical atlas. 2006 brings a new direction as King headed straight to Texas where has jumped right in and is currently working with local Houston producer Cory Mo (Slim Thug, Bun B). He is also co-writing with Texas Folk/Americana sensation, Glenna Bell while working his way around the burgeoning Houston music scene currently being spotlighted by multi-platinum acts such as Paul Wall, Chamillionaire and Slim Thug.

Ronnies vibe and character are infectious. His outlook is positive and he radiates that. A true chameleon, his musical diversity transcends the borders and blurs the lines, an attribute that is instantly recognizable to both industry veterans and new artists alike. Look for great things from Ronnie King in the future of modern music. For project info, call now 949-855-0211 and ask for Nathan Wright
